From Success to Struggle: How ’Merry Berry Love’ Features Ji Chang-wook’s Dual Life as a Space Planner and Jobless
Ji Chang-wook's Dramatic Transformation: From Space Planner to Unemployed in New Stills

CJ ENM is set to launch its global romantic comedy "Merry Berry Love" worldwide. The series will premiere on October 7th on Disney+ and Japan's Nippon TV, featuring a cross-cultural romance set against the backdrop of Korea and Japan.
"Merry Berry Love" follows the sweet and tangy love story of Yu-bin, a Korean space planner, and Karin, a Japanese farmer, who meet on a picturesque island. Ji Chang-wook stars as Yu-bin, while Iida Mio plays Karin, promising sizzling on-screen chemistry.
Marking his return to romantic comedies after a three-year hiatus, Ji Chang-wook portrays Yu-bin, a character who experiences a dramatic fall from grace. Once a top-tier space planner, Yu-bin suddenly finds himself unemployed. The newly released stills showcase this stark contrast, highlighting Ji's versatility as an actor.
One image captures Yu-bin in his element: impeccably styled, surrounded by blueprints, exuding confidence. In stark contrast, another still shows him disheveled and napping, embodying his newfound unemployment. This juxtaposition not only promises laughs but also raises intriguing questions about Yu-bin's sudden downfall and his eventual entanglement with Karin, the strawberry farmer played by Iida Mio.
The premiere episode of "Merry Berry Love" will debut globally on Disney+ on October 7th, with subsequent episodes airing weekly on Japan's Nippon TV every Wednesday.
