Tears flowed at the news of ‘Bloodhounds’ topping charts… “I embraced Yoon Seung-ah and we wept together”

Power couple Kim Mu-yeol and Yoon Seung-ah touched viewers’ hearts with their heartfelt expressions of gratitude and love for each other.

On the latest episode of tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block,’ Kim Mu-yeol, who’s been making waves for his role as Na Hwa-jin in the Netflix hit ‘Bloodhounds,’ sat down with host Yoo Jae-suk for a candid chat.

The episode delved into Kim and Yoon’s love story. Reflecting on their early days, Yoon shared, “We had such a rocky start, but at the time, we didn’t even realize how tough it was.”

She continued, “My husband is at his most radiant when he’s acting or on stage. His passion has always been dazzling.” She added, “Sure, there were challenging times, but watching him silently persevere and give it his all was truly inspiring.”

“It’s because of his resilience that I was able to hang in there too. I think that’s why we’ve found happiness together,” she revealed, showcasing her deep affection for her husband.

Kim reciprocated with his own heartfelt words for Yoon. “Despite facing numerous setbacks and disappointments as an actor, my passion never wavered thanks to my wife,” he confessed. “Back when I had nothing to my name as an actor and felt utterly inadequate, I was incredibly grateful that she could look back on those times as happy ones.”

For this couple, the recent global success of ‘Bloodhounds’ held an extra special significance.

Kim recounted the moment, saying, “When I got the call from the director that ‘Bloodhounds’ had hit number one globally, I rushed to meet my wife in the underground parking lot to tell her in person.” He added, “As we talked, we were so overcome with emotion that we just held each other and cried.”

Yoon also cherished that moment deeply. “The news of ‘Bloodhounds’ topping the charts meant so much to me because I’ve been by Kim Mu-yeol’s side throughout his journey,” she said. She added, “When I heard the news, I simply told him, ‘You’ve worked so hard.'”

As they celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary, the couple’s affection for each other remains as strong as ever. Kim revealed that he always plans special events for his wife on their child’s birthday, a gesture that impressed host Yoo Jae-suk. Yoon praised her husband’s consistency, saying, “We’ve been together for about 17 years now, and he’s still just as kind and loving as ever,” her face beaming with happiness.
