TWICE’s Jeongyeon Meets with Baro Entertainment Amid Contract Speculation

TWICE member Jeongyeon has reportedly met with Baro Entertainment as the K-pop group’s contract renewal season approaches, industry sources confirmed to MHN Sports.

A representative from Baro Entertainment told MHN Sports on the 24th, \”We recently had a meeting with Jeongyeon. However, nothing has been finalized regarding any potential contract.\”

Baro Entertainment currently represents notable actors such as Jin-goo, Byun Woo-seok, and Lee Chae-min. Interestingly, the agency is also home to Jeongyeon’s older sister, actress Gong Seung-yeon, sparking speculation about whether the TWICE member might join forces with her sibling under the same management.

When reached for comment, JYP Entertainment, TWICE’s current agency, stated, \”TWICE is currently in the midst of contract renewal discussions. Our company and the members are engaged in thoughtful negotiations, respecting each other’s positions. We will provide an update as soon as any decisions are finalized.\”

Meanwhile, Jeongyeon is gearing up for her silver screen debut in the upcoming film \”Shinbyeong: The Movie.\” This spinoff from the \”Shinbyeong\” drama series shifts the setting from a military base to a military hospital, with Jeongyeon set to portray a nurse officer.

Jeongyeon first rose to fame as a member of TWICE after participating in the 2015 reality show \”SIXTEEN.\” Following a group-wide contract renewal in 2022, TWICE has maintained a packed schedule. The group embarked on their \”THIS IS FOR\” world tour last July, performing 81 shows across 44 cities globally. Their international success was further cemented last month when they clinched the Best Female K-Pop Artist award at the American Music Awards (AMAs).

TWICE is set to wrap up their world tour with a three-day finale at the KSPO Dome in Seoul from July 10 to 12.
